About Bloody Sox
Bloody Sox* is a blog devoted to the Boston Red Sox. Or, more truthfully, it is devoted to my love/hate relationship with the Old Town Team. I’ve been a Sox fan for very nearly 40 years. Oh, the heart ache they caused me over the years — the 1986 World Series fiasco contributed to my breakup with a woman I loved very much! (I’ll tell that story one of these days).
So, Bloody Sox is my place to vent and philosophize about the Red Sox and what its like for this fan to root for them. If I happen to entertain or inform any readers, I’ll consider that a sweet bonus. Mostly, I’ll be shocked if anyone else actually reads the bloody thing!
By the way, I’m also a Dallas Cowboy fan — so I may have to indulge the need to rave or rant about Tom Landry’s old team from time to time.
*Most Sox fans will also get the allusion to Curt Schilling’s bloody sock in the 2004 World Series.
